Stock replacement shortblock

Does GM still make/sell a stock replacement LT1 shortblock? I remember Scoggins-Dickey used to advertise in older issues of GMHTP a $1700 factory replacement, 4-bolt LT1 shortblock from GM. If you look on their site as well as Pace Warehouse, they still offer replacement LT1 and LT4 longblocks, but no shortblocks. I suppose if longblocks are still available there has to be shortblocks somewhere. Anyone know where to get one if possible?

Finding a replacement (new 4-bolt shortblock) may prove to be a futile experience. I'm sure, however, that out there somewhere there is a dealer of GM parts that has one back in the warehouse---you need to do a lot of cold calling and you might get lucky. JMHO
