I see people all the time to things to their vehicles that are either just wrong or stupid, the thing is it affects me or you in no way so I just laugh and let it go. Now look at you, all bent out of shape because of how some guy is porting his heads Again, I fail to see why this bothers you Like really who cares if he has no dyno sheets or 1/4 mile slips to backup his claim, its not like this is a competition. I guess I shouldn't claim how fast my car is until I actually get to a track and measure my results

Radd - Maybe stop porting heads for awhile so this guy calms down

How do you know what your saying is correct?
Ive actually got experince with doing it this way. I have 3 cars done this way and almost 65k in miles between the 3 cars ive done. The machine shop i went to cuts the valve guides. How many cars with grinded down valve guides have you done or seen done? Can you bring any proof to the table other then the fact ur a forum troll.

I looked at the pictures!! Besides it doesn't work that way. It's your work, your picts., and your claims. It's up to you to provide proof, not me. I can't flow your heads or run your car, can I? You could have ended this at any time by simply posting one set of before and after flow numbers. But it's obvious your not going to do that, so not much point in continuing.

Heads are usually "resurfaced or milled", the block is "decked".

Curb Weight 3440 Your race wieght 3816

So you learn all your Car facts at dunkin donuts? What makes you a expert is what i wana know. Actually nvm i dont really care. Dont do your heads like i did them if you have a problem with it. If youve actually done a set of heads with a die grinder you would no there is no advoiding grinding down the valve guides to raise the ceiling in the head. So your E-star no experince mentality can go fawk its self with ur 14 sec car.

Next time coming onto a friendly thread try making attempts to help folks not attack them from your first post or you can be the doooshe bag everyone knows you are.

Not sure about all the hate...

I like your effort into the heads- there is a lot of internet hype going around about what is "best" and everything else associated with it. If you went faster and made more power after your work then I would say you succeeded- and saved a bunch of money to boot. Maybe its just me but spending 2k on port work isn't always the best idea for everyone...

The technology is almost 20 yrs old now so there has been vast improvement in the development of heads. All us LT1 guys can do is just try and make the best out of what we have.

All i did was what makes sense to me honestly. There are many methods around and people can do whatever they like. I do what works for me and ive seen results from it. Maintaining the air speed in the head and not just porting the hell out of it. Porting the head for the cam your installing. I rather run my car then play a number game. I love my car and i know Its not the fastest LT1 out there but its the funest one i own I love f-bodies and the LT1 cars in particular. Thats why the work i did on my friends car was free. I used my past experince from other builds to accomidate his build and budget. I would have loved to buy off the shelf heads and save myself hours of air compressor head aches.

All I have to say is SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The guy saved money..... The heads will flow better, how much..who knows. Anyway, practice makes perfect, the only recommendation I can give at this point is try and make all the ports the same and HONE THE GUIDES when you are finished! Goodnight...
