I hope you're planning on putting in new guides.

Nope, part of the porting process is eleminating the resistance from the valve guide. The remaining Guide is more then enough to support the Valve and keep it straight.

If you say so...

For reference here's a properly shaped valve guide.

Ive done this with 3 other cars. one of which revs 7k rpms. My car has 15k miles on it since. Friends car revs 7k and has 25k miles on it since. Ive shaped around them before on my car. I dropped a valve in my head and had a machine shop fix it. When i was there they told me that it was safe to do. They havent been proven wrong yet.

Got a dyno chart? Not doubting you I just want to see how that cam works with ported heads.

Dyno'd it in 2006 after i built the motor. Ive moved 4 times or so since then so i have nothing left. I dont go heavy on Dyno'ing cars. Just run them to see how they do. 10.6x @ 132 1.5x 60ft on bottle 11.7x @ 117 1.6x 60ft N/A.
power band is 2k-6k peak tq was around 3700rpm peak hp was @ 6250
Starts making good hp at 4200 rpms. shifts are 4500-6300
Banned from all the local tracks atm need roll cage.

I seriously doubt you help anyone go faster! And this isn't about MY 1/4m times it's about YOUR port work. Who said anyhting about CNC? Many heads are still done by hand. But the fact that you did these by hand doesn't mean you know what your doing.
Maybe speed_demon24 isn't doubting you, but I sure am! How do you know you haven't actually hurt the flow, instead of making it better.
You also don't seem very consistant. In one post it's 11.5:1 comp. and in another it's 12:1? You claim
I dont go heavy on Dyno'ing cars.
yet you posted; "dyno 422hp", is that FW or RW? Then you post that it was dyno'ed in 2006??
I guess your not very heavy on bench flowing your heads either.
Botton line is, even an idiot can see this port work is crap!!

Whats with the hate? The OP is just showing the work he did, and not what he paid someone to do. Its not like he ported your heads and messed them up, give it a rest.

I fail to see why this bothers you.

i have to agree.. the op is being a hotrodder, saving a $1000 or more and not forking out a wad of cash.. his portwork doesnt look to bad actually.. only thing i would do is put a little longer guide in it and use some undercut valves..

To each their own. Your learning and experimenting, nothing wrong with that IMO. I personally am going to let Lloyd Elliot do mine as he provides a flow sheet after and builds them exactly to your needs. Good luck to you and maybe a few years down the road you will perfect your work and proove others wrong. Then again, with those numbers I think you already have. Take care
