What kind of injectors are you running? A hungry heads/cam motor and a pretty decent sized dry shot is going to require an upgrade. If your injectors aren't big enough, that will easily lead to a lean condition.

LG Motorsports made nearly 500 rwhp on a stock-bottomend LS1 using a stock, screened, unmolested 75mm MAF.

Who cares about the bottom end? The bottom end is nothing more than an air pump. The biggest concern is breaking when you mention a stock bottom. If you put a 58mm TB on a stock top end, you are likely to see bog.

And now you know why you should not go hacking up MAFs, the stocker is THE right choice, aftermarket are downright BAD. The ZO6 MAF can be made to function and is a little freer flowing BUT with our pcm it maxxes out about 360gps so tuning beyond that is a little more work to ramp up fuel based on rpm rather than gps. Seeing as my little heads/cam motor moves more than 360gps you should be prepared for your motor too as well.

You don't need a 58mm TB. A 52mm TB will do just fine even with the juice.

I don't think he was making a point about the stock bottom end.... he was pointing out "using a stock, screened, unmolested 75mm MAF."

Did I read that wrong? Initially it looked like a slam about what I had said. Re-reading probably not. My mistake.
