Weight

Oh, yeah. I wasn't considering weight reduction. I was talking 11s with a full-weight 3700lb car. My bad.

Yeah, been done before. My car is 3650 with me in it. Most guys do some minor weight reduction.... spare/jack, floor mats, ect... Basically the quick and easy stuff to grab. Thats what I do, so yes it is totally possible. But there is one thing you will notice about the guys who can do 11's stock heads full weight.... they are all auto's with 3000+ converters, gears and sticky tires.

What cam, gears and stall are you running? What kind of exhaust? I tried to look at your mods page on your site, but it said it could not locate it.

Thats because its not there... lol. I made that site while I was home sick and bored one day and never went back to it.

I'm running a cc305 with 1.6 rockers, Yank ST3500 converter, Hooker LT's, no cats and a cutout in the I-pipe. The cat back is a Flowmaster A/T. I was running 3.73's in a beefed up 10 bolt with 26x10.5x16 ET Streets. I've recently switched to 4.10's with a 26x11.5x16 ET and have been having trouble getting it back in the 11's. Just a little too much gear for my setup. Lots of other little bolt on stuff too. I race with 1/4 tank or less and no spare, jack, or mats. Everything else is still in the car... and works But the car will be a race only car soon and the weight issue will be addresed soon

BTW, there are several people on the board (including myself) who can run 11's on stock heads. Look around in the drag racing fourm and you will see that most of em hang there. In fact there are even a few who can run 11's with a "bolt-on" only LT1.

With a weight reduction, gear and tire change I completely expect to see mid to low 11's from my set up. Stock heads... never been seperated from the block.
Thanks.

There is still a lot left in the car as it sits w/a better 60'. I WILL be in the 11s w/stock heads with longtubes/clutch/tune and a good launch. *cough* 6 speed *cough*

Brian knows his stuff.. but i'm at full 3811 Race weight and i'm running 12.70s bolt on.. So i think you have a ton more in that car if you keep working at it...
