Wow, those are good times guys. I am currently running 13.02 @ 107.12 with a 1.93 60' with Hooker long tubes, Moroso CAI, cutout, 3" Y-pipe, and 3.73 gears in my A4. I am hoping with a 3500 stall converter and either the CC X/E 224/230 or the CC X/E 230/236 cam to get in the 11's. Is anybody currently running 11's with stock heads with either of these cams in an automatic by any chance?

all you guys are running great numbers,i am running cc305 cam, stock heads rockers, stock exhaust and intake manifolds,a home made 4 inch pvc cold air set up which works great, ported mass air,tb by pass, all egr removed,3.42 gear stock new clutch 275.40.17 street tires, its a 97 m6,with after market muffler and no cats, i was disapointed a little with my first few passes at bristol last fall with a best of:2.379 60ft,9.325 1/8 @78.18,14.298 1/4@98.80 these numbers was with stock obd2 tuning running 210 deg, water temp, and having to shift early because of stock rev limter. after lt1 edit obd1 conversion still with stock heads and no headers my best time at the 1/8 track was much better,2.095 60ft/with wheel spin,8.764 @81.43 i wonder what the 1/4 would be? i havnt had a chance to go to a open 1/4 track this time of the year but im hoping to at least get a 13.8, what do guys think a good set of headers, and some head/intake work would bring up on the lights? what rear gear set up would u guys go with,3.73 or 4.10 how about slicks what brand??? i know i may be foolish for running this cam with no headers on it yet but money hasnt allowed them yet but i just got some tax return money and was woundering which way to go thanx, great numbers guys, whish i could get mine down there!!!! jacob

DEFINATELY get some long tube headers! You won't regret it at all. It's one of the best hp/$ mods you can do...especially since you already have a decent cam. You might want to think about getting some tuning after that...like pcmforless. You should have a completely different car after that.

Thanks. I powershifted into 2nd and 4th on that run. You can hear the motor tap the rev limiter at the top of first. I was going to head back to the track today but I'm going to wait until I get the new clutch and a tune. 12.4-12.3 shouldn't be a problem w/a clutch and a tune.

I am running just a tad faster than you with a CC306 and ported heads that are supposed to flow 285/215 @.600", but I am running out of fuel and am hoping that is slowing me down.

You're only running a 12.48??? I have the exact same setup you do, and I am deep into the 11's. Sounds like you may have some other issues there.

I haven't seen anybody run in the 11s with stock heads. There are some guys that are getting close, though.

You are deep in the 12s with basically the CC 305 cam and rockers? Wow, I had no idea it was such a dramatic change. How is the idle? Ok daily driver?

Nice numbers bro! What you really should do is to open up that exhaust with some LT's, then work on that 60'. You'll be in the low, low 12's in no time.

BTW, there are several people on the board (including myself) who can run 11's on stock heads. Look around in the drag racing fourm and you will see that most of em hang there. In fact there are even a few who can run 11's with a "bolt-on" only LT1.

With a weight reduction, gear and tire change I completely expect to see mid to low 11's from my set up. Stock heads... never been seperated from the block.
