Stock displacment?

Hey i was wondering if anyone on here is running stock displacment with forged internals. I was thinking of rebuilding the bottom end of my motor but i dont really want to bore it out, i would just like stock cubes but with forged parts because soon i will be getting le2 heads and possibly cam,and way later on maybe spray it. So i was just wondering if it has been done not thanks alot

Any well used motor needs at least a honing to restore the bore finish, and allow new rings to seat, etc. Depending on the condition of the cylinders, this may take a few thousanths off and require boring out to a new size to get proper piston to bore clearance. The cylinders may also be out of round. Honing will not correct an out of round condition, so that's another reason for boring. So, it may NEED to be bored whether you want to or not.

Welcome! You can only really tell once it's torn down. That's why on any engine project you should usually hold off buying parts until you've inspected what you have already.

yes that is very true with my luck i would buy a ton of parts that would't work
