stock crank pulley

Exclamation stock crank pulley

How do i take off the stock crank pulley so i can install the vortech crank??

First take out the 3x 5/8ths bolts and then hook a 3 jaw puller up to it and yank it off. Some times you can get off with your hands and dont need the puller. HTH

having a hell of a time getting those three bolts off - since i have no way to stop the pulling for turning.

Auto or m6? I would assume auto since if it is a 6-speed you can just put it in gear. Take off the converter dust cover and stick a screwdriver through the flexplate.

Also leave the belt on while you do it...That will hold it in place a little more.

I used a skinny craftsman prybar and slipped it through one of the pulley openings and rested it firmly against the block... I could break lose the three bolts then.

Belt and other things were already off - thanks guys yeah i will have to find something to pry up against my pushing on the crank.

If you have everything off just use an impact wrench, it will zip em off real quick and not spin pulley.
