Stock Battery Guage reading 12-11amps Alternator Problem?

Stock Battery Guage reading 12-11amps Alternator Problem?

well the stock guage is reading around 12-11amps
its in the dotted red area
i just replaced battery
alternator problem?
not charging battery?
any ideas thanks

i assume you mean 11-12 volts. use a DMM and check it at the battery terminals with the car running. see if its the same as u see on your dash. If its low with the DMM take it to Autozone, I believe they'll test your battery and alt for free.

I am having the same issues. I ended up replacing my alternator and it still does it. If I check the voltage at the alternator is show that it is charging ok but my gauge is off.

I too had low voltage. I changed my serpintine belt and gained 4 volts. I didnt think it was that worn out, but whenever I had to remove and reinstall my old belt it was very easy. My new belt I got was very tight, I had to pull hard on that belt tensioner to get the belt on. I knew at that point before even starting the car this was my problem.
