Still overheating about once a week

well i have been overheating about once a week for the last month and i cant figure it out! I check the water every day and havnt ad to put any in but the most of the time after i had turned the car offf then restarted it it will over heat. I have to put about 2 antifrezz bottles of water in it to fill it up when it does overheat.
I have been opening the blled valves adding the water till it is full then close the valves and putting on the cap.

Any idea of what i should check to try to fix this problem

BTW i dont ever see any water leaking out i have even ran the car on ramps and watched the weep hole in the water pump and not even a drop came out.

Also the car normaly runs at about 190 Deg

PLEASE HELP

hmm, you sure your fans are are coming on? Are you getting white exhuast smoke. If you losing coolant when it overheats it could be a head gasket.

I am getting a very small amount of gret or white smoke that comes out of the car but i think it is not an unusal amout and it disapears about 2 feet from the back of the car, At WOT i dont see any smoke.

The fans are always on when i pull over so i dont think that is the problem

How could i check for a really small head gasket leak

Oh and when i smell the exhaust smoke it smells like gas i think it is fro me running rich due to a header primary leak

To detect a headgasket leak check you oil and see if its milky. To really check you will have to do a compression check. Your losing coolant but nothing on the ground? Do you smell coolant at all? you really shouldnt g et any white smoke expecially when its warmed up. Unless its very cold outside.

Check for a restriction in front of the condensor. Also check for proper fan operation. Also look between the radiator and condensor for any debris or dirt build up.

take off black radiator shroud. its between the radiator and the headlights. looks like a small radiator. Smoke from running rich will be black. 99.99999% of the time white smoke means burning coolant/water. Compression check shouldnt be more than $60 bucks. depends where you go i guess.

any other cause besides a blow head gasket that will cause the coolant to be burned?

I was thinking it was from running so rich that the fuel was evaporating causeing the white smoke.

Or maybe a lil oil being burned from a intake manifold leak or something

feel the passenger side floor make sure its not wet. COuld be heater core.. Coolant will only be 'burned' if its leaking into the cumbustion chamber. If you observe no leaks on the ground then and there is noticable white smoke out the exhaust in warm weather, id say head gaskets. Im no pro of course but i had 2 ford thunderbirds that both had head gasket failure. So im pretty acustom to the symptoms. A second opinion/compression test would be wise however.

The condensor is the A/C's heat exchanger. It sits in front of the radiator. Easiest way to check for blockage in front of the condensor or behind it (happens all too often on these cars) is to remove the upper radiator support and have a look inside. The upper radiator support is the black piece of plastic with your belt routing diagram and emissions info on it.

Test or replace radiator cap. Autozone has a cooling system tester. Pressurizes cooling system, so you'll also see leaking head gasket. When its overheating, can you hear it boiling over? If so press down on the cap, it should quit unless its losing pressure somewhere else. (hoses, heater core, head gasket)

you are losing 2 full bottles of water/antifreeze; not seeing a puddle; and still have to ask if you have a head gasket problem Sorry.
