What is your 60 foot time?

Any suspension mods?

What tires are you running?

your description of the weather sounds to me like it could account for you gains, or lack there of. Before you leave the track you should ask for the effective elevation based on the weather conditions and then you can normalize all your times to sea level for comparison. This is the same thing as HP being listed as SAE corrected, it means they took into account the good/bad weather which can be very significant.

These engines HATE humidity and hot weather. It affects your times greatly.

With 4.10s in I hope you have some suspension done or you're 60' can't be good. Tell us what you've done for suspension.

And you got any dyno numbers?

Well to be honest i haven't touched the suspension that much...just changed all four shocks to KYB gas shocks......and i use BFG drag radials to leave with and my 60 ft times are avg of 2.0- 1.85....any suggestions about the suspension or anything else......and also does any one have any suggestions on how to not keep burning spark plug wires.....i've gone thru two sets already.....

Looks like you could still use a set of headers!

It would have to be drastic weather change in order for you to run slower after those mods. Weather effects it quite a bit, but assuming your elevation is the same a .5 difference just cause of weather is quite a bit.

Sorry, didnt see that. You may want to try some weight reduction. Start with the simple stuff. Remove the spare tire and jack. Take off the front sway bar and remove the rear seats and seatbelts.

I have a 75hp dry shot I'd sell ya fairly cheap. Should put you in the 12s. Just plumb it in by the air filter so it comes across the MAF well mixed. You could hide the whole sytem pretty easy. Should net you mid 12s

Hmmm...your 60 ft. isn't bad. Don't let 'em fool ya, though. I pull 1.73 60Ft. with 4.10 gears and NO suspension mods. Still running the original shocks, springs, lca's, and torque arm.
I went 12.82 last year with a stock 94,000 mile LT1 that still had exhaust manifolds. Some of these cars just respond differently to mods,....or...the lack of them...LOL

What are you shifting at? Believe it or not, my car ran best when shifting at 6000 RPM's. My dyno pulls showed it only made peak power to 5400 RPM's, though. The car slowed down if I shifted it any sooner. I'm not relying on the factory tach...I've got an Autometer shift lite in it.
For all those fascinated by dyno #'s...I made 268 HP at the rear wheels...LOL Check out the launch pictures on my web site. 268 RWHP will pull a front wheel of the ground.

Frank

Has your tranz ever been rebuilt? I have added things to my car after my preivious best and my car also didnt get any faster, Found out im losing power to a slippin tranz when i got it dynoed at 248@5400 rpm. Maybe its time for a tranny rebuild....

response to questions and comments

Well to let you know when i do race i pull out everything i can as far as extra weight...and race ususally with less than half tank of gas............it just puzzles me how things are going with the car....there is story also that i haven't said yet but its too long.....short story....pushrod broke while running ..shop mistake...i flipped out ..they fixed it supposedly....rod pieces found in oil pan...and they said nothing got hurt...find that hard to believe..but could this affect me too......and about the trans.....i also think its time for a full rebuild.....i did get all the solenoid changed last year....i don't know much about transmissions so i don't know what that would have done.....and i shift at aroudn 58-5900....only because that car sometimes revs to high and i hit the limiter and it kills the whole run......

maybe your car is picking up the noise from the roller rockers and pulling timing...

maybe an lt4 km would help out.

by the way i have one for sale....
