Hey guys, I'm still having the same problem with my Z, and I would really like to get it resolved.

The idle is real low--the engine barely sounds on. It lacks on roll-on power and feels like Im towing a boat without a trailer when I drive it and it doesnt clear up.

The exhaust has also gotten much quieter, when I turn the car on the engine comes on quiet, then gets really quiet over about a 10 second period and the exhaust is barely audible.

Things I have tried:

Replacing the fuel filter
Changing the oil (again) used the premium Mobile 1 and the oil filter
Replacing the stock coil with an MSD one
Flashed codes (nothing comes up, just flashes DTC 12 over and over)

The car was always owned by an old lady so it was never driven much (or abused at all) and looks brand new inside and out. The engine isnt even dusty--so if the cat was clogged it would be very weird. I know she used regular gas though, not 91 octane like I have been putting in it. I have driven the car for almost five months now with no problems until this past month. I don't think I am leaving anything out, but I would really like to get this resolved.

Why don't you try breaking the exhaust joint just ahead of the cat and see what happens.

 

Interesting idea, I'll give that a go.

 

Cat is clogged. Any recommendations on a new one?
