Well the very first day i bought my z the cd player never worked. the radio worked but the cd player just seemed to jam up and not play. so today i installed my alpine i had in my last car in my z and same problem the radio works and sounds much better now but the cd shows that its playing but nothing comes out of the speakers any ideas?

 

i had a similar problem with my alpine... if you have 2 remote wires " blue ones" and the wrong one is hooked up.. you wont get sound from the cd player...

 

Thats what it is, friend of mine had a similar problem.

 

Well the blue says its to the power antenna so that one is hooked up. But the other one that is blue and white says its the remote turn-on and it should go to the amplifier or equalizer so that one is not hooked up b/c i didnt think i needed to so what should i hook that one up to??

 

hmm.... Not sure then... are you 100% sure you wired the right one? also... is it a new cd player or used?
