Steering/Suspension problems!?!

Hey guys, I need some help. My car (95 Z) has some steering/suspension problems. The car pulls very badly from left to right when driving over roads. It is really bad when going over ruts but will also pull from side to side with the tilt of the road. The steering wheel also pulls and will sometimes be cocked at either 11:00 or 1:00. Any ideas. I have had a shop look at it and they said it was just wide tires (275/40/17's) and needed an alignment. After they aligned the car, it still pulls just as bad, almost causing some accidents. Any help will be appreciated,

Kyle

My advice to you (Since I'm an alignment tech) is to ask them to check it again (The Check should be free) and look at the specs yourself. If it's out, ask them to align it (Warrantied for 30 days) and ask them for an after spec print out.

Then if you still have problems, post the specs on here for me to see. And I'll let you know if they're just being lazy.

But there's no way your car should do that. That's called "Memory Steer". Fixable by the alignment. Your wheel should be straight and your car should go straight.

Let me know.

For more info on what an alignment consists of, please see the thread below:

Had the same issue...

Check...

1.Wheel Race
2.Rag joint
3.Tie rods

4. Then get car re-aligned...

My car sucked in all of these areas...Wide tires tend to follow the road...but you CAN tell the difference from a "Wander" to a "Pulling".

It's the actually one compelte assembly...it's the Wheel Hub. Just try to turn the wheel hub by hand with the tire off and see how it spins...if it's kind of rough that might be one..of the problems...compare it to the opposite wheel hub after you spin it too see just how bad it might be. I had a bad wheel hub and got a cheap replacement off Ebay...that helped with the road travel a bit...but the key areas to check out are the Rag joints and Tire rods.

I think you meant Tie Rods....(I'm an alignment tech.... have I mentioned that already?)

So you're speaking of the hub assembly.

Tie Rods and the wheel Hub too....

For the most part when somethings wrong with the steering and road feel on these cars it's one of those three.

1.Steering linkage
2.Tie Rods
3.Wheel Hub (since the race isn't removable)

I just say wheel hub...since the guy had the car aligned but mentioned he felt it very badly over the ruts...a bad hub/race will make it'sef more noticeable when you go over bumps like that.
