Steering knuckle Dilemma.
Steering gear coupling shaft Dilemma.
I have a bmr tubular kmember on my 94Z. "Supposedly" has all the factory mounts for the motor mounts and power steering rack, but none of them were even close to aligned right(must have junk jig or something). Anyways I had to move the rack about a 1/4" from where it normally mounts... Everything is in the car. and now the steering gear coupling shaft is too short. I can get it on where it slided to the steering wheel shaft. Slide is all the way down and put the screw on. But it will NOT even come close to going onto the rack(it sits right on the top of it, but isn't long enough to go in). Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I really don't want to buy a new custom one. But if that is the case, does anyone know where i can get one for a reasonable price?
Thanks.

Re: Steering knuckle Dilemma.
Your terminology was confusing there for a minute. That's not the steering knuckle-it's the steering gear coupling shaft. The knuckle is out at the wheel, between the ball joints.
If things looked that far off, I think I would have contacted BMR before proceeding. Their stuff is usually top rate. What model k-member did you buy? They have numerous models to choose from.

Re: Steering knuckle Dilemma.
Had some problems like that an my 95 the steering shaft actually is two pieces. I was able to tap it apart to make it work. But when I bolted up headers it hit them so I had some custom work done to it locally at TTG in Fort Wayne, In . Been There Done That with BMR!! Nasty

I've really lost respect for them after having to deal with this product though.
