Steam line routing for lt1 transplant
Steam line routing for lt1 transplant
I have transplanted a 95 lt1 into a 70 AMC AMX. I would like to thank all of you for your wealth of info on this forum during my transplant. However i ran my steam line to the top drivers hose ( have a 94 lt1 hose with tee ).
Will that cause any problems? Would I be better off teeing the steam line into the smaller heater hose and just replacing the top radiator hose? Also I have a 94 trans with a 95 ECM. When I had the ECM flashed I did not know there was a difference. Any suggestions on what I should do?

I tapped the back of the waterpump below the themostat. I have been running mine like this for 6 years with no problems. It looks cleaner than teeing a hose. When the tb is installed you can't see it.
Hope this helps

thanks for your help. The 95 pcm was flashed without telling the programmer that a 94 4l60e was behind the 95 engine. The pcm was originally with the 95 fbody engine. The original 95 trans was trashed so i used a 94 fbody low mile trans that I had. I also had a 94 harness that i had redone to fit the amx so I can put the ecm in the car behind the dash and deleted all the unecessary connectors. I did change the optispark pigtail connector to the 95 vented unit.
