static and dynamic compression??

static and dynamic compression??

i am wanting to use a rotating assembly out of my thirdgen and was wondering if got this all right? my static is showing 12.5 ish and dynamic is like 8.3.. my engine

stock lt4 heads
.040 over 383 with 5.7 rods
a 1074 gasket 4.125/.039
Keith Black Signature Series HYPO18 Forged Pistons pn kb704.040
if i did it right i measured its .005 in the hole but its was a pos dial indicator.
and a comp xfi 280 cam..

It would help if you posted the cam specs. I am too lazy to look them up.

I doubt a 230 degree cam would bleed off that much compression, it's probably in the low 9's.

isnt .040 over a 387 but either way what are the piston cc's dish dome or FT also and yes it probably really close to 9 DCR is you block decked or not also what are the head combustion chamber ccs

Most people calculate DCR off of adfvertised duration.

Static is 12.5 as you have calculated. However, DCR is ~9.6. This assume a 109 degree ICL 4 degrees advanced).
