Starting wierd

my 94 formula has been starting odd lately. ill turn the key and it will act like its gonna start, then completely stop...and then fire right up. is this the beginning of the battery going bad? shouldnt be the starter cuz it was rebuilt about a year ago

but sometimes it will start perfect though

are u saying the starter actually stops turning the motor and while still holding the key to the start position it starts turning the motor again?

Battery cables/terminals. Sounds like an inconsistent connection.

^^^ yep take the battery cables off and wire brush the heck outa them and the terminals on the battery. also take the wires to the power junction box ( red plastic box on the passenger wheelwell) off and wire brush the heck outa them and put them back. have a look at the ground junction next to the power junction. if that doesnt work check your grounds that go to the block. theres one by the belt idler, one by the starter and one on the front of the block on the driver side .
