Question Starting Troubles

I have been having trouble getting my 96 Z to start lately. It seems to happen most after it sits for a day or two. The engine will crank and crank, but will not fire. Fuel pressure at the rails is good. Spark at the ignition coil is good (haven't checked a plug yet). Sometimes it will try to fire and will sputter for 5-10 sec when I stop cranking. It almost acts as if it's flooded believe it or not. If I pull off the intake, open the throttle body and let it air out for a while (about 30 min) it will start. It runs just fine and will then start easily until it sits for a while again. I threw a code the other day which was a 0410 Secondary air injection malfunction. I don't know if the two are related, but if anyone has any ideas on what could be causing the problem please give me your input. Thanks.

Re: Starting Troubles

Can the injectors fail open? This would cause leakage and possible flooding.

Re: Starting Troubles

That's what i've labeled suspect. Either that or the fuel rail is leaking. I got the car started Thursday and it's been running fine ever since. It seems that the longer it sits the harder it is to start. Sounds like something's leaking fuel down into the cylinders and flooding it out. Can the injectors stick open if they're dirty? Can the fuel rail leak into the intake manifold?
