Starting Problems
Starting Problems
From time to time I have problems starting the car. My thinking is that the headder is cooking the start. I am still on my first starter but when I drive it awhile and it comes to temp it is hard to start after a couple tries it will fire up when you turn it off
But I have also with it setting I drive it to work it set all day then went to start it and all I got was the dreaded clicking but after three or four tries it started up.
Any ideas of what is causing this?

Re: Starting Problems
Dirty/corroded/burnt contacts in the starter solenoid. Pretty common. A rebuilt starter is the easiest solution. Sometimes you can take the solenoid apart and rotate parts to get clean contact areas but it does take some knowhow.
