starting problem

I'm having a problem that started off with hot starts but now the car is hard to start at all times. It gives the syptoms of a dead battery and the car will start with a jump pack. The thing is the battery tests at 12.5v. When the car is trying to start the voltage drops as low as 6v. Does this sound like a battery going bad or a starter going bad?

Re: starting problem

Start with the battery unless you can measure the current to the starter. But chances are it's the battery. You can always swap in a battery from another vehicle temp.
