Starting issue or lack of

My mind just is not functioning right I guess, but what is that will cause a my car to try and hit for a just a second and then never try again. the last two days it has done the same, if you don't let it sit a while it won't even try to do that. I was thinking something caused that but my mind just is not cooperating.

Thanks in advance.

Kinda confusing, but are you trying to say that it will try to crank and then not crank at all unless you let it sit for a while then try again? If so, I would say the battery might be dead. Or your starter is going out.

No it will not start, just try to hit and then nothing just crank. Plenty of fuel, no fire, also security light is on while cranking and seems to be a clicking under dash I have not heard before.

Check the fuel pressure to make sure your fuel pump check valve isn't stuck open.

Sounds like your vats it acting up. check shbox.com I think it says something about how to bypass it or shut it off. Or someone will chime in.

^^^^There you go. Try cleaning the keys contacts with alcohol first.
