Starting issue

Ok guys and gals, I'm stumped.

I posted this on LS1/LT1.com and thought I would post it here also. Right now I need all the help I can get.

My 93 Firebird LT1 wont start. It turns over like it's out of gas and wont fire up. Here's what I know so far;

The ignition system works. If I spray starter fluid in the throttle body, it starts right up. As long as I keep spraying, it keeps running. If I stop, it stops. Also, I verified that I have spark at the coil and at #1 spark plug.

The fuel pressure is 44 lbs at the shrader valve key on engine off.
The injectors are not injecting. The fuses are good. The test light came on on both sides. I pulled the rail and left the fuel lines hooked up. Turned the key and no squirt.
I pulled the plug going to #1 injector and hooked up my test light. It's hot on both terminals (that dont sound right to me).
I pulled the injector out of the rail and turned on the key to see if there was fuel in the rail. I'm waiting on that to evaporate right now.
The ecu is new (about 5 months old)

I'm lost. Any ideas?

Edit: I forgot to tell you about the scan tool. According to my scan tool, the ecu is telling the injectors to fire. All of the sensors appear to be reading correctly.

Re: Starting issue

Update. I pulled the piggyback out of the ecu to see if it would run on the stock chip. It didn't make any difference. I double checked the codes and there are none.

The thing that I cant get past is the two hot terminals in the injector plug. The one from the fuse block should be hot but should the one from the ecu be hot? Does the ecu fire the injector by grounding it?

I dont know where to look next. Help!!!

Re: Starting issue

The PCM supplies the ground to fire the injector. With the harness connector OFF the injector, only the side with the pink wire should be +12V. The other side should have no voltage at all.

Re: Starting issue

Ok, then let me clarify. With the key on engine off, both sides are hot. Key off, both sides are cold. This starting to sound like pcm to you?

Re: Starting issue

If you mean the plug that goes to the injector, then yes. I unplug the injector and then with the test light hooked to ground, I probe both terminals in the plug. On both of those, the light comes on with the key on.
