Starter trouble :(
Starter trouble :(
Well I left the car sitting for about three weeks, I had been going out ocasionally and starting it. Well it ran out of gas!! So there I was cranking away... never even thinking that it might not have gas. So now the car seems to be taking awhile to start... and not only that the starter will just quit after a few 4 or 5 seconds.
The car allways took a few cranks to start but now it is just embarassing!!! What do you guys think is it time for a new starter? Starters can be rebuild right? Anyone know how much?

advance auto parts. 205 for the good starter and they give you 50 back once you bring in your stock starter. been there and done that (2 weeks ago). It took me less then 45 to take the stock on out, drive to advance, drive back, and put the new one in. Don't waste your $$$ on taking it to a garage.

That's the ideal size for 9.5" rims in width. I love them on my 18 Y2Ks....
I changed the fuel filter last summer, so I guess it is due again anyway. Its been raining here so I have not had a chance to check the pressure yet. ZPual2Fresh8 I was thinking of getting a new coil anyway, I have the weird rev limiter type thing happening in 4th gear at around 5200rpm. I am thinking the starter is fine, its just getting hot from over use. Thanks gives me a few thing to look at.
