Starter question
Starter question
Has anyone ever had to shim there starter? I had the starter rebuilt today because the drive gear was hitting the flexplate and a cracked case. I put in the rebuilt starter and the problem is even worse. I have to click the starter 4 to 8 times for it to start.

Re: Starter question
It is very common to have to shim a starter. Production tolerances, I guess?
