Starter is almost dead, where can i find a cheap one
Starter is about to go out and i need one asap, i just called advance and they are 150 bucks, the car is gonna be stored for about a year or so within a month(leaving for iraq), but id still like to drive it before i leave,, so does anyone know where i can find one

As far as parts stores, thats about the cheapest you can find.....Unless you find a used one at a salvage yard, but then you are taking a chance, that it may not work..

Autozone may be cheaper may want to check them but I bet its about the same as advance. Sorry I can't be of more help.

The solenoid in the starter is what's so expensive, according to a local starter rebuild shop I found. They rebuilt mine for $130 and gave a lifetime warranty to boot.

I would go ahead and get the LT4 starter, more cranking power and they are actually new and not rebuilt.
