starter?

starter?

dumb question but how many wires go on the starter and which pole does each attach to? i took the engine out in august and can't remember

it grounds through the block

has a large hot wire
and then a small hot wire to the seliniod.

as for which poles they go to you should only have one large stud for the hot feed and possibly 2 that could be the selinoid wire. so to compeleatly answer your question ou might need some other imput

i have the large hot wire but i have 2 small wires. do both the small wires go on the same stud ( thanks for the reply )

that i'm not sure. I was only aware of one. perhaps teh other isa fusable link? i'll do some cheking

starter

one wire is the hot goes right to the starter the two small wires the heavier of the two goes to the starter selinoid the other gets grounded to the block do not i repeat do not put the two small wires together on the same stud on the selinoid you will get a fire.

I think that is a ground for the computer. The ground wire goes on a bolt that is by the bolt for the dipstick.
