I actually removed the oil pan with the engine in the car on monday because i'm retarded and thought the oil pump driveshaft went in from the top. Having a hoist helps that out alot. Took a total of two hours start to finish. It didn't sound like it was coming from the pan. I clearanced the pan with the engine on the stand so it should be good. But since I have it torn apart already and the seal i had to order probably won't get here until friday, I might as well check the pan out tomorrow too, for peace of mind.

Here's what the timing cover looked like when I pulled it off. -The scratches

I sitll don't understand how it only did it at a certain RPM but hopefully this was the problem.

Diff load's at certain rpm's.. You still might have it.. Who know's.. hopefully you got it taken care of.. My motor will be broken in on a dyno prior to install.. none of this in the car crap..
