Stalling Problem??

Ok, so recently, every once in a while, I'll be driving down the road and my engine cuts out with no warning. It just dies as Im driving. I coast to the side of the road. Wait a minute or less, car starts up after a turn or two and runs fine and it wont happen again for a while. Could be days or weeks and it will do the same thing. Anyone encounter this or even have a clue? Thanks.

Re: Stalling Problem??

I had the exact same thing happen before. I changed the ignition switch and it has been fine ever since. Sometimes it would sputter and stay running, so you might have another problem. My GMC jimmy use do that and the fuel pump went out just a little while after it started.

You need to provide basic info about the car - year, model, engine, trans and any major mods. Use the "Signature" feature. That way people can help you without asking basic questions. Not all years of the LT1 are the same.

Scan it, check the fuel pressure.

I am having a similar problem in my 93, except I need to wait an hour or so for it to start again, originally I was told to replace my fuel pump, I did, and the problem continued, still trying to figure it out

Sorry, its a 1994 with an A4. 383 stroker. The fuel pump is a brand new Walbro.

Re: Stalling Problem??

Pump may be "brand new", but did you check the fuel pressure?

Re: Stalling Problem??

You should start your own post and give a little history on your car and what you have tried so far. I listed my solution earlier in this post. Not guaranteed to be the fix, but worked for me.
