is a stall needed
is a stall needed
Hey guys how you doing i got a t/a with a little over 4 at the wheels my question is if my car is going to be all street/weekend driver do i need a stall im not new on the engines as far as work goes and how they run im just not too familiar with the transmissions thanks for any help you guys can provide -jim
Re: is a stall needed
Your stall should be set around 300-400 rpm below your peak torque.
How do you have 400+ at the wheels? My guess is a decent sized cam if you're running N/A, so without even knowing the specs, I'd say at least a 3200.
What's the specs of the cam dur @ .050, lift, LSA, etc?

A stall would be a good thing. You will lose gas mileage in town but if you are only going to be driving it on weekends then I would say go for a 3200. That is what mine is. A lot of guys get the stalls in the 2000-2800 range and wish they would have gone bigger. I went in the biddle with a 3200. I like. Car runs great!
