Re: SS hood

$50 is a damn good deal for that air box you should ****** it up if not i will, mines in bad shape. The Air box looks kind of cool but it really is a pain in the ***. It always sits kind of crooked and you always have to take it off to work on your car as its big and in the way.

Kind of. When i had my K&N CAI i use to just disconnect it at the MAF and i could kind of move it out of the way and get the intake elbow off then i had lots of room to work. With the Air box on i have to take it off to get to anything on, my fuel rail covers only make it worse.

Re: SS hood

Hey I had an functional SS hood from suncoast creations on my 94 Z28 for two years, and I never had a problem with rain water, it stayed dry even when I was washing it. Hope this helps!

Re: SS hood

I also vote to keep it non functional. The SS ram air intake doesn't gain you anything over a normal CAI. It also covers up a bunch of the engine making it harder to work on. In holds more heat into the engine because it's sitting on top of it.

BTW, I have the SS hood and decided to get the cold air colling my engine from the ram air scoop, and keep my K&N FIPK CAI.
