Re: SS hood

Does anyone know where to buy the lighter hood springs for the fiberglass SS hoods? I looked everywhere for them and still can't find them.
Thanks

Re: SS hood

I have an almost new ram air box I bought from American sportcar design for my SS hood I'll sell you cheap if you want it....say $50. However, I prefer to run a K&N and use the hole in the hood to keep the entire engine compartment much cooler.

The ram air box tends to sit a little crooked on the intake...

Re: SS hood

Are all of the parts included with it? Why do you prefer this? What did you use for your hood springs and where did you get them? I am interested in that ram air system if its in good condition and is for the SS ram air hood.
Thanks

Re: SS hood

This ramair box is for the 93-97 ram air hood made by American Sportscar design. It's in almost new condition with the filter and I believe I still have the installation instructions too.

I can send you pictures tonight when I get home.

I stopped using it because ram air is not effective at lower mph's, and the K&N is probably better all around, plus I wanted the cold air dumping in the engine compartment to keep it cool under the hood.
