spun hub while re-installing. problem?

alright guys, this is my final post about my $%!$# crank hub. I got it installed, but I used a threaded rod against some washers and a really tough piece of pvc pipe. what happened is this: as I was getting really close to finishing up, I noticed that the hub "slipped" around a little and the white mark is no longer at 12 'o clock like it was when I started. How bad is this? Does this have any effect on timing or a negative effect on the balancer? I just don't want to take the hub off again. Does this also mean my hub will spin on the end of the crank?? thanks

the crank hub is not keyed, so if slipping is going to occur its gonna happen no matter how its put on there, altho i dont think there would be a problem with that, its a pretty tight press fit!

the only adverse affect i can think it will have is the pulley will not be lined up the way it was when taken off and might be out of balance a bit.
mine did the same thing (not much but a little bit) i just tried my best to keep at as lined up as possible and hope for the best

EDIT: havent followed your other hub posts but did you use the pre '96 hub (longer)?

If the whole crank turned (most likely) and not just the hub, you are ok. It would be still lined up properly.

The hub goes on the crank so tightly that I don't see how it would spin w/o the crank spinning also.
