well the subject says it all. is the motor junk now and if so where can i get another one? can you buy new blocks? or do i have to pay 1500 - 2000 for a junkyard motor and redo it?

 

Chances are you don't need a block. Have a good machine shop check your crank. You might be able to get away with having it turned. That and some new bearings may be all you need.

It's a good idea to try to figure out why it happened, though. If it was from oil starvation, you might need more parts like cam and cam bearings and anything else that depends on lubrication. In that case, maybe a new shortblock would be a better choice.

the main caps and block are very scored where the bering was spinning i dnt see how its usable unless you can get bigger bearings and machine the hole 30-60 thou bigger but i dont think you can
