Spuddering, misfire and knocking = corroded Opti-Spark

Looked at a lot of stuff on the internet and consistently found that this forum kept say the same thing. If the card has horrible knocking and back fire on acceleration, and the car is pulling crazy timing, then the opti-spark is fouled up. So i took it apart yesterday cleaned the contacts of the rotor and cap, put it back together and it runs beautifully!

I would have replaced the cap and rotor had I seen that. Cap and rotor are wear and tear items.

I'd check the vent system and make sure it's hooked up correctly and operating.
