springs.

how do you choose a spring right for a cam? what happens if you have to much spring for a cam?

dont take me too seriously because i have absolutely no idea what the answer is, but i can discuss what it might be through logic. i would assume that too little spring might let the valve move more than its supposed to while too much spring would add rotational mass to the cam and extra strain on the entire system. but thats completely an assumption in case no one gives you a knowledgeble answer

I wrote a little piece on that subject. Go to www.kennedysdynotune.com and click on "Tech Tips" at the bottom left hand menu. Follow the link to "Valve Springs". Or just look at the cam card!
