I use it, it is a quality piece. Doesn't really affect on road handling at all. Makes your car come off straight at the track.

right now the car is makeing 560rwhp 633rwtq dialing it in to make 600 at the wheels. is there a noticable enough difference to spend the money. plus i dont want to lose the handling i have. what size it the sway bar itself? does it have any problem clearing a 12 bolt with a TA cover. because that is the problem I am haveing now with my 21mm sway bar.

I have the first one Steve Spohn installed. The bar is 1-5/16" solid chrome moly. Fits fine with a 12-bolt and T/A cover, because the huge brackets stand it so far off from the axle tubes. The only thing we found on the install is that if you have QA1/HAL adjustable shocks, you need to have the adjuster **** facing the outside of the car.

I can't answer what it does for the street.... but I can't conceive of running no front bar, and a grossly over-sized rear bar, and not having it have an affect on suspension. You might want to post the question on the "Auto-X... " board to see if they agree.

There are a lot of pictures of the install on this page.

I have seen alot of straight line performance guys run no front or rear sway bars at all. What is everyone's feedback on that.

I run it on the street, and have no front sway bar. It doesn't seem to affect any handling characteristics. I would recomend getting it.

are you supposed to weld it on or did you just do that for peice of mind? I do have HAL shocks how hard is to get to the ***** with them facing out? how much adjusting do you have to do on the extensions?

Steve Spohn put it in, and he recommended welding the brackets. Maybe its a matter of how much HP you are putting down, but it makes sense. He also tack welded the u-bolts for the sway bar bushings to the axle tubes.

You adjust the end links to bias the pre-load so the passenger side rocker is 1/8" higher (check that - I think its the passenger side) than the drivers side. Didn't seem to take very much.

I haven't had to adjust the rear shocks since I had the bar installed. I ran it once at the end of last season, but I was only running on motor, so it really didn't put the suspension to the test. I find that I don't generally have to do much adjusting of the rears... I just leave them set on 5 or 6 and it hooks fine. But that might change when I spray the 300-shot
