All I can tell you is that the Pro-Gram caps work with my LT1. I'm not saying those are the only ones that work... I never tried any other brand, so I don't know. I can't think of why there would be specific brand limitations on the LT1... except for the complaint a lot of people have about the oil dipstick hitting the cap on some brads/models. Is that what you are worried about?

Might want to do a "search" on Advanced Tech... I think we had someone asking about the dipstick interference on the LT1 recently.

I saw straight 4-bolt LT1 block make 1,125HP on the engine dyno, and pull a 3,900# 30th SS convert to 9.04@155mph. Then the engine was sold, the block checked and found to be in good condition, currently being used in an 1,100HP nitrous buildup. You just need good studs and caps.

Lots of us "old guys" prefer straight caps (and studs) for production blocks and splayed for Bowtie or aftermarket race blocks. I am using the GM pm 3932482 nodular iron cap whioch has 4 parallel bolt holes.

Parallel-bolt caps here..... and I agree 110% with Rich on that one.
