Spinning one tire?

My car has become more amt to spinning the wheels, especially on slick surfaces, but I believe it is only spinning the right hand wheel. Am I correct in assuming that my diff is going out? Is it worth it to just go ahead and get a Torsen take off to replace it? With addition of 4.10's of course

Yeah it sounds like your diff is toast.
I don't think 4.10s will solve your traction problems, tho.

On a few occasions, we've seen cars taken cars that one-leg, change the diff fluid, and come out with the posi working again. Of course that only works on cars that have gone too long without a diff fluid change. Not a guarantee, but definitely worth a try if you know it has been a while since the last fluid change.

Just keep saving your money, get a 12 bolt and run that junk puny *** 7.5 inch into the ground. Not worth rebuilding it in my opinion if you plan further performance upgrades. That or find a used carrier for the time being. ~~~rob

I don't plan on drag racing the car, and if I do it will be on street tires, so I'm not worried about breaking the rear right now. I want to setup more for handling/autox, so because of that and cost of 12 bolt, it won't be happening till a LOT of other stuff is done to the car. I'll try the fluid change with maybe 2 tubes of GM additive, see if that helps any. I do have a slight leak at the pinion seal, so I'll try that first. If that don't work, I will be saving up next for 4.10's, installation $, and either take-off Torsen or T2R if I somehow come up with more money than I expect.
