Re: Special tool for slp header bolts ????

I used a 12 point box wrench that I ground down a little so it would fit the ones that were close to the header.

The only two tools you need is a wratching wrench and a 90* offset wrench. With those two tools I did all my bolts. There were a few that are easier from the bottom, but they all can be done from the top with those two tools.

Not a problem. With those two tools and a third hand, you'll endup thinking that those tools were made for those headers.

Craftsman: Deep offset wrench and Reversable ratcheting wrench

Not the right sizes, don't remember, but I believe that Sears created those tools for the SLP headers.

Re: Special tool for slp header bolts ????

I used a craftsman pro boxend wrench for some and a 1/4 drive socket for others. The trick is to start them all by finger then tighten each on thill they all pull up together. The first time I install SLP's I got the first and last in and tightened them then tried to do the others it was way harder this way. Had same problems getting the tools past primary tubes.
