Spark Plugs and Wires
I recently replaced the spark plugs in my 96 Formula, but I dont know if the gapping was just right. I got NGK TR-55's which seeed to come with a .055 gap maybee somewhere betweenn .055 and .053? LT1's call for .050 right? Sould I pull them back out to close the gap .005-.003? Also, when replacing the wires, how do I pull the #7 (and I assume #8) wires out of the heat shield that runs along the block?

I don't think .005 will affect things too badly. It's a pain to change plugs on these cars so I wouldn't worry too much about it. If you notice it start to break up or anything, then regapping the plugs might be a good idea then, but I think you'll be alright.
There are one or two small bolts on each side that hold those heat shields on. When I did my MSD wires, I didn't put them through the shields and they were fine. When I blew my head gasket I removed the shields and didn't reinstall them. #7 and #8 don't burn the wires on my car, it's always #6 that consistently burns the plug wire.
