Spark Plug Wires

just curious if anyone has had any experience with the Taylor Full Metal Jacket wire set? how does it compare to OTVC wire routing? which do you think is best for headers? any input on wires with headers is awesome. thanks

Yes I just bought a set for around 125.00 from thunder racing, about 150.00 after shipping, I was going to go with the otvc wires, but heard trying to put them together I heard was a pain, so I went with these. they have been on for about 3 weeks now, no problems. the have full heat shielding on the boots that go onto the plugs. and steel braiding on the wires. there is about a two inch gap from the boots to where the braids start, so on one of my wires that is close to the header by the boot, I did put one heat shield on that one, and I have no arching out of the plug wires.

With headers, go with OTVC wiring as a general rule of thumb. I went with the Taylors kit and built them myself.

What headers are you thinking of using? I know with some headers stock plug wires are ok, but other headers make it almost impossible to use the stock location. I'd probably plan on OTVC on any setup but stockers are possible with some headers. My SLP's weren't really that bad with stock location but I'm glad i went OTVC.

I used the Taylor wires with the OTVC kit from Thunder Racing. Pain in the *** to run on the passenger side, but they look pretty damn good.

I've had Taylors and I've had MSD's and the MSD's are much better quality in my opinion.
