One of my boots is split and exposing the white ceramic material of the plug. Will this cause any problems? Doesn't seem to be arching. I want to get some insulated protectors. Does any one know how long the Taylors or Jeg's boot guards are? Thanks for any info.....John

 

You could replace the boot instead, or in combination with the sleaves. Taylor makes a kit for LT1 engines that includes the terminals and boots needed to make the wires. Only cost about $15 too.
