Spark Plug Question Continued...
In the other thread, I was told that a blue hue around the base of the plug was normal. Well after that I couldn't remember what i saw so I decided I would go out there and look at it again.
The BASE of the PLUGS are flashing that blue hue, and it looks like there is one wire that occasionly arc's. Every single plug that is on the car that I can physically see has this flashing blue hue about it that goes away if you DIRECTLY look at it, but once you just unfocus your eyes or look somwehere else you can see it again. And when I mean the BASE of the plugs, I mean there is absolutely 100% ZERO light coming from the boot of the wire, only the plug. Is this normal? Shoebox?

Re: Spark Plug Question Continued...
The blue "glow" around the plug insulator is the "corona".... a natural byproduct of the high voltage used to jump the large stock gap. Corona does not cause any problems. It should not be confused with "tracking" or "flashover" in which the spark actually tracks down the insulator and causes misfire.
