Spal fan vs. dual lt1 fans

I was just thinking about this today. My friend is running a single spal fan on his 421 sbc. It works real well too. The spal fan is super light and puts out some serious cooling power. Since i did my engine swap i have been running a single lt1 fan since i havn'e spliced the harness for the other plug yet and it has kept the car perfectly cool. The other thing i noticed is the stock lt1 fans are real heavy. Would it be beneficial to switch to one spal fan instead of using the dual lt1 fans or am i asking for cooling problems in the summer?

I am currently running a 16-in Spal fan in my blown application. The only reason I am running a Spal Fan is because I upgraded to a Be Cool Radiator. If you car does not have issues with overheating then I would keep the stock fans. I am having cooling issues with my car because I have little to no room in my car to mount another fan. I am thinking of maybe going back to my stock radiator and fan setup.

The stock fans seem perfectly adquate in most situations and I can't see how there can be a lot of weight difference to justify spending money to replace something that works just fine.
