Sound proofing undercoating. Anyone try it?

My car has been sitting about 3ft in the air on jackstands for the last 5 days while the tranny gets some work done. Since I cant do anythin else to the car I decided to try undercoating the car with the Dupli-Color rubberized undercoating and sound proofing. I cleaned the entire undercarraige and used 3 cans on the entire under side of the car. The stuff actually looks pretty good and im hoping that it actually does something. Has anyone tried this stuff and noticed the car ride a little more quiet? I sprayed the entire underside including where the tranny goes and driveshaft tunnels.
Thanks

I've got the entire interior of my car sprayed with 3M Ruberized undercoating.. and yes, I noticed a difference... I've got about 8 cans on the inside...

Is the spray the best way to soundproof or do those stick on things (eg. brown bread) work just as well?

Is there a place where i can find out how GM makes their cadillac so quiet??
