Just got the car Dyno'ed...tell me what you think

1995 Z28, 100K miles, stock internals....K&N CAI, p+p MAF, 160 t-stat, 1.6 RR's, pacesetter headers, Hooker cat back, PCMforless.

319rwhp, 343rwtq...SAE corrected (running lean with a 13.7 a/f at its leanest, and seemed to break up or flatten out above 5500 or so, maybe opti???)

the a/f got leaner with the rpm's and kinda followed the HP curve...sent bryan the logs and he is writing up a new program for it.

Im happy with the numbers, now what do you guys think it will pull by sticking in the HOT cam. i already put the LT4 springs and 1.6 rr's on. So how much you think i will gain just from the cam?

have you been to the track with the new setup? there is a guy in another post that put down allmost exactly the same numbers you did with the hotcam, that was on a mustang dyno tho. How are the pacesetter headers holding up? Did you get them coated?

Not yet

I havent been to a 1/4 mile since it was stock, spent all last summer discovering auto-X. Stock times are in the sig. so it has been a very strong car since stock.

I know someone is gonna call bull$hit on me here with these numbers, and as soon as i get the graph's emailed to me from redshift (printer was broke ) i will figure out how to post them.

About the guy with the Hotcam numbers...on the graph it was still making power when they shut it down, so there might be some left in there. Alot of people here are spinning hot cams to 6000 or so. I spun mine to 6000, but it peaked around 5500-5600 and the torque fell off at about 4500 or so.

You'll probably lose some power running richer.

Other than that, some decent numbers.

Those are some pretty impressive numbers. That would equate to a little over 350 fly wheel horsepower. Not to bad, I would expect you to pick up a few more hp by fixing the lean condition. Once the hotcam is added you should be puttin down some pretty good numbers.

Congrats.

Those numbers are awesome for those mods.

I doubt that you'll gain a whole lot in peak TQ with the Hotcam, but you will gain HP due to the wider TQ band of the Hotcam. Yeah, you can easily spin the Hotcam up to 6000 rpm.

My 97Z has 56K on it and I have had the heads and intake port/matched, hotcam, pro mag 1.6 rr, Hooker lt's, duel random tech cats, flowmaster catback and a bunch more **** done to it and its laying down 330 rwhp. So your saying a tune headers and exhaust your pushing the same #'s as me ??? and its runnin lean ?? Where the hell did I go wrong? Is my $hit broke ...honestly dude thats all that you have done to the car?

Like i said man, you could call bull$hit all you want. I know what it did i just thought i would share the numbers with you guys...ALL my mods are in my sig. every last one. So if you dont believe me then thats your problem.

Tell ya what, Take a few minutes tomorrow and search online for Redshift Motorsports. Give them a buzz and talk to chris, the owner, and ask him what it put down if you have such a hard time believing it.

I love how people on this board dont get some numbers or times they should due to various reasons and then when a strong running car posts some number everyone jumps down your throat telling you your full of $hit because their car didnt do that well.

Also "Jeremy 30th"...your calling bull$hit on my numbers, but yet in your other post you have 15hp spikes and ignition/knock prblems on your car, ever think thats why your numbers could be low? Check out the sig of "Jon A" that replied to you first and his mods/dyno graphs, go figure he is making 300hp at the wheels and i have 1.6 roller rockers and a tuned computer. Guess my numbers must be lies
