i posted a sound clip about a week ago to see if you guys thought it was a spun bearing or not. well, it wasnt. a few bearings had some scratches in them but not were spun.

the noise in the clips, from my best guess, were coming from the lifters. all the rocker arms seemed to be tight but if you pushed down on them the pushrod would go about 1/4 inch down into the lifter before it stopped. so i guess my lifters were bad.

i wish i would have noticed that earlier!!! oh well.

 

well its a good reason to do a rebuild if you got it apart that far.

just wanted to let everyone know that it wasnt the bearings, which i couldnt believe.
