Anyone have the XE 227/233 cam?

If so, feedback? its relatively new and lifts really high. I have the XE224/230 but i might want to trade up for this one. Looks like its the perfect street cam.

227/233 duration, .560"/.569", 112lsa compared to my
224/230 duration, .536"/.544", 112lsa

what do you guys think?

i wouldn't swap cams for only 6 more degrees of duration. I would think about doing heads instead they will wake your car up.

I have that cam on a 111 LSA. So far I like it. It seems to have moved my power band up a little and I haven't sacrificed any driveability, (I had a CC305). I don't have any new times or dyno numbers yet. I plan on hitting the track this coming weekend and will let you know.

Try 3 degrees! No way would I go through a cam swap for 3 degrees of duration. You might see 7-10 hp max. Guess it depends on if it is worth it for the little bit of power you would gain.

I would venture to say that you could hit 350 on stock heads with the 227/233. Someone on here just pulled about 343 with the 218/224, but that's better suited towards stock heads also. The 227/233 should really shine with a good set of ported heads, but if you're going with that, why not just grab the 230/236 which is already proven?

Chris is running the 224/230 and getting those #s...

i already told him that we are getting his car into the 11's at some point w/ that combo... just needs some real cool weather and a little diet... skinnies would help too...

i plan on running the 227/233 in the 355 i am working on right now. i would run the 230/236 but i have always been the bird of a different color... so i am gonna give the 227 a try!!

That 362 was at 13.6 Air/Fuel ratio, I haven't had a chance to hit the dyno again (well I did, but the opti was dying so it was a waste) but fattened up to 13.1 it should make 370.

Also the accurate Tq reading was 380, had to reflash the PCM to prevent a downshift at WOT so the dyno would get a good tach signal for the TQ reading.

I have an LTCC opti conversion waiting to go on and then I am gunning for 12.1s...maybe with some weight reduction 11.99s.

My 224/230 is on a 114LSA and driveability is great, I'm happy with the combination of power vs. street manners as I drive the car every day.

If I had known about the 227/233 at the time I probably would have gone with it but I was about 3 mos to early.
