Some thing is about to break

Today I went to the gym, starting the car up it acted like it hadnt been started in a few weeks, sounded great but then it smoothed out. It was raining out so I didnt get on it, but car drove fine and idled great. Then comming home from the gym, I put the key forward and nothing. Try again and car starts up no porblem, shut it off and restart not a problem. Drove home fine and every thing. Any ideas guys?

Possibility of starter going bad but itl will get worse if that it. If its like my old car i never figured it out. Once every now and again it wouldnt start just give it a minute and it would work sometimes right off and sometimes it'd be awhile.

Starter is only a year old, its a CVR proTorque. It starts fine I'm hoping its not fuel pump related.

If you're sure it isn't the starter, it could be the battery giving up, or the cables may be corroded.

If you haven't changed the fuel filter in a while change it and if your concerned with it being a pump don't let your gas tank get below a quarter of a tank cause then it'll start picking up some of the dirt in the bottom. I change out on average 1-2 chevy fuel pumps a week at the shop because of not changing filter and running tank empty. But generally they just go out and it won't start.
